Getting this train back on track, the trail steward at Flintridge has graciously agreed to lead us on a group ride on June 20th. Since summer is here, I think that we should plan on riding at 8:30am so try to show up around 8am so that we are ready to roll by then.
The location can be found at http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Flintridge+Trailhead@30.16295,-95.5176&t=h&z=18.
Here are the directions on how to get there:
The singletrack is in the Geo. Mitchell Preserve, which is part of the Spring Creek Greenway. GMP is on the North, or Montgomery County, side of Spring Creek. The Preserve is on the South side of Flintridge Drive, in The Woodlands.
The trailhead and parking lot is between Gosling on the East and Kuykendahl on the West, about a quarter mile West of Gosling. The parking lot can be hard to see but has two small gravel over-culvert entrances.
Flintridge can be accessed from the South on Gosling; take the first left at the Flintridge light after crossing Spring Creek. 1/4 mile to GMP.
Also from the South on Kuykendahl; take the first right after crossing Spring Creek at the Flintridge light. About a mile to GMP.
It can be accessed from the West and North by getting onto FM 2978 and turning East at the Woodlands Parkway light and going to Kuykendahl (3.5 mi.). Take a right at the Kuykendahl light and then a left at the next light onto Flingridge. About a mile to GMP.
Any one coming from near or East of I-45 will take it to the Woodlands Parkway exit and go West to Gosling (3.5 mi.). Take a left (South) at the Gosling light and right (West) at the next light onto Flintridge. 1/4 mi.
to GMP.
Of course, if the weather looks horrible, check here for an update. The last thing that we want to do is damage trails if they are wet.
If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
Thanks and see you on the trail.

Just a reminder that this is scheduled for this Sunday. Hopefully the trails will stay dry and we can have a good ride.
See you there.
