Does not think anyone else does anything for the anthills we have decided to change that. We have received word from Pct 3 parks that they are approving our request to have a short track race south of Buffalo Bayou between Dairy Ashford and Eldridge. The through trail will remain open during the race with two to 3 pass through "gates" (not the like the ones at MP)

Saturday July 3rd. We should have a flyer out soon. Everyone is welcome, it is low key racing just show up grab a number and race. The course will be a loop that covers the grassy areas with a couple of features.

Very cool. Would this be the same course posted on the other site for yetti cross?

July 3 is near the end of my recovery window for a recent knee surgery. If I'm feeling strong I'll try to make it out for the race.

Nothing wrong with being DFL.

Wow, you think putting on a race on trails I cut back in '93-'95 is doing something for the trails? I think all your going to do is upset alot of other park users. Thats the most popular part of the trails, maybe you should move further east. Like down by Wave Dud's secret jump park.

Has anyone ever seen BMWdave ever do any trail maintenance either in a group or solo?

I call BS on that. Those trails were there way back in 1987 (and had been there for a while before I found them) so no way you can claim building them. If you did anything you probably cleared out a trail the MX riders blazed long before you. I'm beginning to believe BigMouthWankerDave is a freekin' troll. Might live under one of those bridges which is why nobody's ever seen him. Don't feed the trolls.

No your wrong Wave Dud, the trail was way down by the bayou back then. If you can ride that far from your jump park, you can still see where the trails use to be. Did you forget and take the blue pill again today. Now try and remember, you only take the blue pill when Toff is around. You really need to see a doctor about thay memory problem!

Man BMWdave sure has been quiet. I wonder if he has been out doing secret training so he can show us all what a stud muffin racer he is?

Yetti: Why don't you start a new thread with a more appropriate title for your race. This is a fun-fair-positive forum : )

The forecast for this week and the weekend is looking very dodgy. When will the race be confirmed to be on or off?
And talking of off, I'm off work this Friday and so if any help is needed in getting the course ready I'm free. Even if the race doesn't happen, a flowing ~1 mile loop will be a welcome addition to the trails.

Thanks Marz for offering to help. We will do some set up friday evening then about 7 am sat. For the rain policy: We will not do it if it is going to be muddy. I have pre-agreement with parks that I could run in the rain and repair later.... but for the first race, I am not going to do it. Will try for a reschedule. I will take a look Thursday and probably make the call then.

I visited the course tonight. If it stopped raining now it could work. Please stay tuned for a reschedule date.

The call is too wet. The good news is we may get a new bridge or I go down south and check out a possible cyclocross course venue.

Race is off as the ground is pretty wet and mushy.

Did you really just celebrate someone working hard to move the mtn bike community forward having a stumble? Nice!

I think putting on a race before any real work has been done, is kind of silly. Maybe you guys should make some of your "improvements" before throwing a victory celebration.

You should up your reading comprehension skills as this was not a GHORBA race, we are independent of GHORBA when it comes to race promotion. The first clue there was no posting of the race on the main GHORBA page. I would also suggest that you ride the trails more and be more observant of your surroundings

Maybe you should work on your reading comprehension, I never said it was a Ghorba race. Also, could you please post when your going to have your next on-line work party, since you guys can't seem to do any sort of real work that requires any kind of physical labor other than pushing a few buttons. Other than that keep up the good work, I really like all the cool new features that have been added to the trails ( web site) lately.

bmwdave, you're kind of a douche. But you already know that.

Looking forward to the race, Yetti! Thanks for doing something positive.
