It's Alive!

To answer all the e-mails I have been receiving lately I thought I would pass on some information on the Memorial at the Anthills.  The dead guy is John "Sporkie" Washbourne.  But, he ain't dead.  John was a volunteer film subject for Nick Gonzales and his helmet cam.  If you know Nick you know he is fast and this puts some pressure on the movie star to push harder than they are capable of riding in some cases (this one for sure).  The ride took a spin at tree where the memorial is when the former astronaut once again took flight.  After the launch came a fiery re-entry and a crash landing on a root to the rump.  Since Sporkie is moving to California a big group ride and BBQ was planned for a Saturday and one of the trail gnomes  found his way out to the trails the night before and created this memorial knowing that the group would fly by it on their ride.  Well a good laugh was had by all, and an Urban Legend was born.  Soon you could here people talking as they walked and talked about the guy who died at the Anthills.  I have had at least 10 e-mails sent to me asking about this.  John's alive and well and on his way to California.  Sporkie is immortal! If Jumping off the roof of his house into a kiddies pool at the BBQ didn't kill him, no tree or root or trail could ever do it!
