Work Parties

Saturday April 5, 2003

There will be a trail work party at Memorial Park led by Larry Pruitt.  Paydirt points are available for the session.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate for a change.  Meet at the trailhead by the soccer fields at 9:00 am and we will work till 1:00pm.  With all the rain we have had in the last few months there will be plenty to do.

There will be a work party held at Huntsville State Park led by Richard Gabrunas and Jim Shroeder.  If you would like to pick up some Paydirt Points, this will qualify.  There is plenty to do on the trails and this is a  non-race weekend.  If you would like to participate respond to Richard at  Kilo9@txucom.net

Results

I just wanted to let you know that 56 man hours of work where put in at
Huntsville this weekend. There is a new 20ft bridge put in where a culvert
had washed out. There was a "log jam" put in where a mud hole forms.
Several sections of trail had drainage issues worked on and the ramps to 2
boardwalks that go around mud holes were fixed.

The Park thanks us for all the work we have done out there. They have
received numerous compliments on the 58ft bridge. I wound like to thanks
everyone who has helped with the trails. Especially to Glenn, Bryan, Fred,
Jason and Mark for all the help they did this weekend.
