Huntsville State Park
Just a little North of Houston on the southern edge of the
city of Huntsville is a
great
place to ride in the Huntsville State Park. The trails have been
there for years and with the recent working relationship between Richard,
Jimm and the Park Rangers the trails are in the best condition in years
and getting better by the week. New bridges, re-routes to avoid
erosion and hiking only trails being opened up to multi-use trails
highlight the improvements to the park. Funding for the state parks
is at an all time low so our help of bridge material and labor for
building
and maintaining trails is needed and appreciated now more than ever.
New maps are being worked on and will be posted here soon. Join in
on a work party or enjoy a weekend of camping and biking in the Texas
National Forest soon!
Richard Gabrunas and Jimm Schroeder are the Trail Stewards
