Things to do this weekend and next--Work Parties, Rides, Bike Demos

April 12, Memorial Park. 9:00 AM Start. Meet @ the Maintenance Area!

We will be mostly moving dirt.

Your trail work experience is less important than showing up. However, we’d like to get a decent headcount that will help us organize the crews. More info and questions answered on our forum

Please bring gloves, safety or sunglasses, a full camelback or water bottle, and your favorite tools if you have them (you can always leave your tools in the car if you want to use ours). Also, long pants and shirtsleeves are recommended to fend off poison ivy.

GHORBA will provide drink refills, snacks, specialty and general tools.

We should wrap around 2 PM.

April 19 and 20, Double Lake. 10:00 AM Start. Meet at the Double Lake Gate House main lodge.

Directions to Double Lake Tell the gate staff you are there for the work party so you don’t get charged, and take a left turn after the gate to drive straight down to the main lodge.

Our big race is coming up, so we need all we can get to trim, cut a new finish, and repair some singletrack. We’ll feed you, then lead rides for a couple of loops. So it’s a double deal — get to really know the trail, and practice your fast speed turns…

Everyone volunteering at a work party can submit their Paydirt form. Even if you don’t race, you can qualify for some sweet prizes at the end of the racing season.

Sweet singletrack at Double Lake

Bicycle World and Fitness Bike Demo at Memorial Park, this Sunday April 13th.

Chris and his shop are bringing some Giant bikes to try, both road and dirt. More info on our calendar of course.
