Cypress Creek Preserve Scouting trip

This Sunday (Aug. 20th) at 7:00 AM Amy Vanzant-Hodge is meeting Jennifer Lorenz of the Legacy Land Trust at the Cypress Creek Preserve to do a scouting of what trails exist (old ATV trails), to help determine whether to use them, close them off, or put new ones in. Cypress Creek Preserve is located at the intersection of Telge and Spring Cypress.

Anyone who is interested in helping create another local set of trails is welcome to join the scouting trip. This will be a biking/walking trip and should only take a couple of hours.

Email Amy if you are interested in joining. The Preserve is normally not open at this time (it’s open the first two weekends of the month), but Jennifer is opening it for this scouting trip.

She recommended bringing clippers since the trails are becomming overgrown from lack of use.

  1. There are trails in there already and it can probably be easily linked to Fritsche park just upstream. It will be really good to help Jennifer Lorenz – she has been a strong supporter of GHORBA, which is particularly important at the moment. Hope that some of you can join Amy & Jennifer.
