This one was on the schedule even before Ike. Our priorities just had to change.

All the big stuff is cut. We need people to clear and rake the trails and re-set the large bridge back into position then we can re-open!

9:00 AM Saturday Sept. 27 at Jack Brooks Park, Sunday optional

Please bring gloves, loppers, rakes and saws

The Beginning is blocked at every hill & turn, the Crossroads is blocked, the Golden Gate floated off its supports, The floating Bridge moved over a few feet, Hell I was impassable, The Access trail was blocked……
We have a “WHOLE LOT” of work to do out there.

Please bring gloves and heavy duty rakes – no power tools

We are going to be meeting up at the dog wash to rake and clean what will probably be the blue and the red trails. The tools that will be required are gloves, rakes, and the best mosquito spray that you have!

8:00 AM Saturday Sept 27 at Cypresswood Trails

Meet at Collins Park parking lot. Bring chainsaws, handsaws, cutters, trimmers, lots of hydration, bug repellent, etc.
Drinks and donuts provided by Sun & Ski 1960/Champions

Everyone volunteering at the work parties can gather their Paydirt points for the 2008-2009 season. Even if you don’t race, you can qualify for some sweet prizes at the end of the racing season.

  2. Nope. They are not official trails, sorry (that doesn’t mean work isn’t being done, we just don’t know about it ;-).
